We need to collect signatures from 15% of shareholders to legally demand a Special Meeting. Once that threshold is reached and the petition served, a date must be set within roughly 30-45 days. The sooner you sign, the sooner we can vote!

You should contact the management office directly. This website is run by independent shareholders and does not have a direct line to the current board.

Yes, it is 100% legal. New York State law and our proprietary lease guarantee your right to organize and sign petitions. Management is strictly prohibited from retaliating against any shareholder for exercising these rights. We have legal counsel ready to protect any shareholder who feels threatened.

What exactly am I signing? Is it a vote?

You are signing a 'Proxy.' Think of it as a permission slip. It does two things: 1) It counts you as 'present' to reach the 15% needed to force a meeting, and 2) It gives the campaign permission to vote on your behalf to remove the current directors and elect the reform team and any other business conducted at the Special Meeting. It is the standard, legal way to change a board when there are major issues like the ones we have described in this website.

Will this cost me any money?

Signing the proxy costs you $0. In fact, our goal is to save you money by freezing maintenance and cutting wasteful spending. The only people spending money right now are the current board, who are using your maintenance fees to pay for lawyers to fight us.

Why not just wait for the normal election?

Because we are losing money every day. Maintenance increases are permanent, and the current board has already signaled more hikes. Waiting another year could cost shareholders thousands of dollars in new fees and lost property value. We need to stop the bleeding now.

Mario is a owner, just like you. He grew up here in the Bronx and has successfully fixed other co-ops in crisis. He has a track record of actually lowering costs and fixing buildings. He's doing it because he owns here and pays the same high maintenance you do.
