What is a “Special Meeting”?
It’s a shareholder meeting that owners can force the co-op to hold. So we as owners can vote on urgent action.
Step 1 — Get to 15%
Under the bylaws, owners holding at least 15% of shares can require the co-op to call a Special Meeting. You are signing that in the link above.
Step 2 — Vote
At that meeting, directors can be removed by a majority of all outstanding shares, if the meeting is called for that purpose as well as any other purpose in the Meeting Notice. You are signing for that in the link above as well.
